Adjustments
Chiropractors are health care providers who focus on treating neuromusculoskeletal disorders and the effects that these disorders have on the body’s overall health. Chiropractic is a drug-free, hands-on health care solution to many musculoskeletal and neurological complaints. Chiropractors include patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment in their protocol.
Chiropractic Posture Correction Programs (CPC)
Why is Posture so important to your health?
- Posture is more than esthetics. It literally dictates how your body works
- When your posture is bad, pressure on your spine is increased. This can lead to tension, soreness, headaches, back pain and fatigue.
- Postural imbalance also compresses your internal organs, reducing their efficiency and normal function. This may cause such issues as respiratory problems, chest tightness, high blood pressure or poor digestion
- Each inch of forward head posture can increase the weight of your head on your spine by an additional 10 pounds! That means if you look down as you read, text, or work on computerized devices, it adds 20 to 30 pounds of pressure on your neck. Over time, this added pressure can flatten or reverse the normal curve in the neck leading to neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain or numbness and tingling in his arms.
- Many people are suffering from posture-related health problems without even realising it. Learn more about how prolonged sitting plays a role in creating many common issues.
How do we check to see if your posture requires correction or not
- We use computerized postural assessment technology to assess your posture
- We also use x-rays if necessary to check for any abnormal curvatures or congenital issues
- Once we have a handle on what your posture looks like we design a program to help correct any postural distortions
- This includes chiropractic adjustments, postural retraining stretches, as well as home postural training
- We also handout postural education tips that are easy to implement
